It’s time to get back to work on the big Stinson! Last time I left off with the structure of the left wing completed (minus the flap and aileron), ready for sanding. I chose to get the FlyLine Great Lakes trainer project finished, so I let the Stinson gather a little dust. Now the new Premier Balsa Kits http://www.premierbalsakits.com/ TigerKitten project is on the workbench, but I want to keep the Stinson moving along, so I’ll slip in a little bit of it between installments of getting my latest ‘Kitten ready for display at some of the winter Expo events that are coming up.
Building the right wing panel is an exact repeat of the left, so I won’t go through all that. However, the construction sequence I chose to follow treats building the flaps and ailerons as a separate series of steps, and that’s what we’re going to work on now.
